The Dashboard is the first screen that you will see after logging into Alma. From this start point you can:
See the weekly academic calendar
View the students who you are linked to in Alma
A heading at the top will immediately let you know whether or not today is a school day, and the week’s calendar will be shown below. The calendar pulls events from the school’s academic calendar and is not editable; the current day will be highlighted in orange.
Below the calendar, you’ll see your students. You are able to look at their profiles by clicking on their names from the Dashboard or by clicking on their picture/name on the left-hand navigation bar.
On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll also see links to:
Home: Return to the Dashboard at any time
Directory: Contact information for teachers and staff
Calendar: View the school’s academic calendar
Students: You’ll see a link for each of your students
Note: On your phone, the left-hand navigation moves to the bottom (From left to right: Home, Directory, Calendar, Announcements, Profile/Settings)
The switching icon allows you to toggle between school years. Student classes and attendance are specific to each school year. However, other important details, such as contact information for you and your students, along with report cards and transcripts, remain consistent as you navigate between years.
Note: This will only appear if your children have previously been enrolled with us.
Announcements
Important school messages can be found in Announcements. You can see any messages that have been posted by the school by clicking on the megaphone in the top right corner of your desktop screen or on the megaphone icon from your mobile device.
By clicking on your initials in the upper-right-hand corner, you can access several other features.
Alma allows you to see your personal profile; this is the information that is available to teachers and staff. From your personal profile, you can update your information (if allowed), edit your student’s information (if allowed), and add emergency contacts.
These reference pages are specifically written for parents who are using Alma. You can access them at any time by clicking on “study guide”.
